It was a castle dipped in blue, Midnight blue. The walls were around sixty feet high and covered in vines and creepers. In front of them were two iron gates, both the gates were the same mystic blue. There were two stone gargoyles by the gates. In the fading light of the day, the gargoyles clung to the shadows.
Crouched high on the walls, crumbling and adorned with lichen, they were crafted to be grotesque. Eyes bulged, over-sized ears which were naturally pointed and grins which evoked notions of sadistic pleasure. Hunched, disfigured and leering towards them, they were as cold as the demon hearts they represented. Although the sun hadn’t set yet, they felt like they were entering a kind of everlasting twilight.
